How Can You Not Love Darvin Moon?

Has anyone been watching the WSOP telecasts on ESPN? Darvin Moon has to be my favorite “nobody” to pop up on there since Chris Moneymaker, if not ever. En route to having 30% of the chips in play at the final table, the guy got absolutely whacked upside the head by the deck. The best part of all is that he admits it too!

Unlike, say, Jamie Gold, who acted like kind of a d-bag after running like god for 8 days, Moon appears to be completely humble. Here’s the interview ESPN did with him last night:

Check out what he told his table in last night’s episode (a table that he picked up KK on his first hand and busted a player before he could even get all of his chips out of their racks!). Unfortunately this video cuts off just at the end of his speech, but you can still get the idea how humble he is:

Finally, check out this Washington Post interview with Darvin Moon. This guy is ridiculously likable. No credit cards. No email address. No sponsorship deal. No ego. Just a guy with orange hair running hot and poised to become the next World Champion, and an incredibly humble one at that. How can you not root for this guy?
