Welcome to My New Blog!
Unless this is your first time here, you can see that I’ve redone this blog. Previously I was using a boring old blogger template which gets the job done but is still inadequate in a lot of ways. This new blog runs on WordPress which is a lot more accomodating for creating a better blog.
I have to give credit to Nat Arem for finding such a great WordPress theme. I pretty much tried to make this blog look just like his (except with a different color scheme, obviously) since I think his is one of the best poker blogs out there from a layout perspective (and content perspective too, for that matter).
The only major area of incompleteness on this new blog is the header section which right now is just text. I’m having this Indian guy who does a great job making banners for us at Poker Tips create a logo for me.
Poker has been going pretty well lately. The only playing I’ve done since the WSOP is online poker on Sundays, but I’ve made a few final tables and have had deep runs in other tournaments in the past few weeks which is encouraging. I’m kind of in a state of limbo right now waiting to see if a major deal we’re working on is going to go through or not. If it does, I’ll probably be doing quite a bit of poker-related traveling in the upcoming months. If not, I guess I’ll have to wait to hit a big online score first.
Anyway, I pretty much did all of the design on this new blog myself (with the help of my technically-gifted friend Austin). That said, I’m very open to any suggestions or constructive criticism y’all might have on how it could be more visually appealing for readers.
Today is my dog’s fourth birthday and even though he’s too stupid to know that (or too smart to realize that it doesn’t matter?), I’m going to spoil him anyway and take him to the dog park and maybe feed him some yummy human food later.
